Pronounced "chun-sa" (a Korean word which means "angel"), Cheonsa is a first-person shooter about a rage-filled princess whose task it is to defend her homeworld, an interdimensional collection of realms called Pyeonghwa. When the Eodum opens and evil begins to spread across the realms, Cheonsa takes up her trusty bow and heads out to rid her world of its vicious, though often adorably cute, conquerors.
Cheonsa has been in development for approximately six months and has seen three major reiterations during that time. The most recent public demo, released April 13th, 2018, has established a basic world and mission oriented focus which the game will follow throughout its development. The game also has an established art style that is extremely bright and colorful and features exotic environments. The primary question which led to development was, "what if Kirby was more like DOOM and DOOM was more like Kirby."
Moving forward the plan is to continue to raise support for development on Patreon, add more worlds and levels to the game, and add new cinematic sequences that will communicate a compelling story about a young princess of the flame who is the only inhabitant of her world who can defend it. The game will focus largely on intense boss battles, varied enemy classes, and unique new weapons which all have a crossbow styled theme.
